Aerospace Electrical Technician

We are currently seeking an Electronics Test Technician for the business headquartered in Wilson, Our global organization of close to 900 employees with offices in the UK, Australia, France and Germany. We are part of Aerospace Systems, a global organization of over 40,000 employees worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tests products for load capabilities, mechanical characteristics, polarity, voltage, amperage, inductance, shorts, grounds, circuits continuity and physical properties.
- Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits. This position requires troubleshooting to the component level.
- Perform routine repair activities on avionics equipment including surface mount solder repair.
- Must comprehend blue prints and schematics.
- Knowledge of electronic theory including microprocessor based products.
- Experienced in dielectric and hypot testing and safety measures involved when performing test.
- Must comprehend all ESS procedures and be proficient in performing the test.
- Recommend efficiency enhancements for fast paced electronic trouble shooting environment.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have an electronics background with 5-10 years complementary work history in a manufacturing environment or service environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers including triggering, waveform capture and comparisons.
- Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers including word processors and spreadsheets.
- Must comprehend blue prints and schematics.
- Experienced in dielectric and hypot testing and safety measures involved when performing test.
- Knowledge of electronic theory including microprocessor based products.
- Must be able to give direction and guidance in electronic trouble shooting techniques and repair.
- Must be able to schedule trouble shooting activities to complement production requirements.
- J-Std-001 certification preferred.
- Knowledge and familiarity with IPC610 is a plus.
